I am raising money for Back Up - the charity for people affected by spinal cord injury. 

 

For over 30 years, Back Up have helped people and their families to rebuild their independence after a spinal cord injury. Their award-winning services challenge the perceptions of what's possible and help to increase skills and confidence.

 

Back Up are here for people in their darkest hours, so they get back up to living life to the full.

Peter, Mary’s Husband, suffered a life changing spinal cord injury in August 2022 which has left Peter wheelchair dependant. 

Peter says “Since I sustained my spinal cord injury, the Back up trust have supported me.  Firstly when in hospital undergoing rehabilitation they offered me wheelchair skills courses, enabling me to get the most from my wheelchair and learning how to access places. Then on leaving hospital they’ve supported me with Vocational Support such as CV sorting and Interview techniques, along with a careers convention for wheelchair users”.
