I am raising money for Back Up, the charity for people affected by spinal cord injury. 

 

For over 30 years, Back Up have helped people and their families to rebuild their independence after a spinal cord injury. Their award winning services challenge the perceptions of what is possible and help to increase skills and confidence.

Last year my partner sustained a spinal cord injury as the result of a motorcycle accident. He received care, treatment and rehabilitation at the Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow and the Back Up staff had a huge positive impact during his recovery.

The skills and peer support offered by Back Up were just as important as the physical rehabilitation provided by the hospital. 

I would like to raise as much money as I can to help ensure the services of Back Up can continue to help people as much as they have helped us
